Raleigh Raptors – Familiar Face, Familiar Place

Between being away from downtown for a few weeks, bad weather and the switch from daylight to standard time, I haven’t been able to see our Red-tailed friends as often.  But the good news is, they’re still here.   At least I’ve seen Mama and Blynken and an unknown raptor that seems to have invaded the Red-tail’s territory.

Nov 19, late afternoon.

Mama took off from the Finance Building to a parking lot roof.  Calling it a day 🙂

Nov 20, early morning.

An unknown raptor flies around the Wells Fargo; Red-tail territory.  Who is this raptor?  (Looks like a Cooper’s hawk).

Edit: According to John Gerwin, this is a Peregrine Falcon.  Boy was it FAST!

Nov 21, early morning

Finally, a familiar face in a familiar place

Yes, it’s me Blynken and I’m still here.  How are YOU doing?

Happy thanksgiving y’all!
