Roger Raleigh. Confirmed 3 new Red-tails airborne

May 29, 2013

The nest was quiet; empty.  But there was a lot of sound of hungry juvenile Red-tails next door!

Eden finally fledged the nest.  If probably happened late yesterday or early this morning.

Hillary seems to be stuck on the same tree, unwilling to fly and explore.

Meanwhile, Sally has been the most mobile, flying from tree to church top to the Labor and Revenue buildings and finally back to the column on the steeple overlooking the nest.  She kept looking down at the nest to see if there was any food.  She’s also the most vocal wailing a lot for food.

It should be interesting to see how these three progress during the next several weeks.

Downtown Raleigh, we have 3 new juvenile Red-tails!

Ciao.
