After some pretty rough weather, it finally “normalized” this week and the Red-tails took advantage.

Papa was out shopping for nesting material.

The RT’s have built up the nest deep enough that you can’t see the RT’s in the nest from ground level.

After working on the nest for a few minutes, Papa took off and landed on a tree across from the nest.

Papa looks like he just ate. Belly is “round”.

Another hawk flew across, up high and landed on the SECU…

… then took off on a hunting dive, screeching along the way…

It was Eden… on the hunt…  or so I thought…  Elsewhere on the tree, someone had food, but it wasn’t Eden.  It was Mama.

Mama took off with the food, but Eden followed…

As Eden haggled with Mama for the food, Papa flew in.  Then Mama just stopped and Eden got breakfast.

Aw, Papa.  Not in front of the kid! 🙂

After a little chat together…

Mama took off, then Papa followed.

Eden stayed a little longer with her food, then took off and landed on a tree by the Capitol.

Apparently, she didn’t like being bothered, so she took off again…
