Red-tails on the SECU

Jan 7, 2015

The parks were relatively quiet.  Neither squirrels nor small birds were in any abundance.  Hmmm… did they know of the big freeze tomorrow?  As I took a lunch time stroll on the Capitol, I looked up at the SECU building and saw …

In the other corner of the building was another bird…

I wasn’t sure if it’s the residents or the Visitor.  But Mama and Papa obliged and turned around to show me… it’s them.

This is the first time in a while that I’ve seen them both near the nest.  But, we won’t be sure if they’ll be back, until they start rebuilding.  Last year, they started at the end of January.

I’ll be checking that nest daily 🙂

With no Red-tails around, I kinda switched to House Sparrows and other small birds.  They were very accommodating to the camera  so I guess, why not?
