nature that is.
Aug 24, 2013
After a successful rehab by Mr. Steve Stone of the American Wildlife Refuge, Hillary was returned back to mother nature. Steve thinks the Red-tail is a he, since his weight and size fits more of a male Red-tail. I guess we can rename her He-Larry 🙂
Another Red-tail was also released together with Hillary. This one was a juvenile close to becoming an adult as evidenced by some red tail feathers mixed in with the striped-grey juvenile ones.
Hillary looked good, but it was time to be on her own.
Live Long and Prosper!
Hillary didn’t go far and landed on a tree branch. She looked and assessed this unfamiliar surroundings that she’ll soon call home.
After a few minutes, she flew and landed on the ground and WALKED up and behind a tree.
Hint: Don’t walk. Use your wings. Walking is for us bi-peds 🙂
Then she was gone. 😦
Good luck!
Ciao!
